In the years past, there has been a lot of focus on how to manifest the life of your dreams varying from the movie “The Secret,” to the Abraham-Hicks books such as, “Ask and it is Given.” Part of the focus has been on visualizing, evoking feelings and thinking your way into what you want. All of the work has been super important and a great place to work with intentional creation. The part that I have never totally been able to make sense of is it feels like all of this work originates from personal will power. Results are dependent on how hard I work. Lots of us are capable of willing our way toward goals and life dreams and if the energy is aligned it is easy; but when it is not, it can feel like peddling up-hill with the brakes on.
So what other tools can we use to assist us in aligning to the energy of manifesting? I find a powerful tool for every part of intentional living is prayer. Prayer has positive effects in allowing one to open up to the natural flow of limitless energy. What it allows us to do is let go of control and let the divine assist in ways that can be surprising. How do we ask for the support to assist us in manifesting and helping us on our healing paths?
Prayer is a powerful source that can be done with out structure, anytime, and anywhere. It can be out loud or done silently in your head, it can have a beginning and ending or just, “hey I would like some help with this.” Prayer naturally opens up our energy and heart to work toward deepening connections to your highest self. It allows us to release our ego and tap into limitlessness potential. Our wills are only so powerful, and when we connect with universal energy, we become greater beings. Prayer allows us to focus our energy on global efforts as well, such as healing in the Gulf and Haiti and allows us to benefit all beings. Does prayer mean we always get what we want or achieve the goals we set? Not necessarily but it always assists in paving the way to aligning our energy.
